Obtaining Pricing via xLink

If you are authorized to receive pricing data in your prequals, you can request Global Capacity to return pricing information to you in our serviceavailabilityresponse by adding the priced attribute to your <serviceavailabilityrequest> element:

              <serviceavailabilityrequest priced="yes">

If the address qualifies for services, our serviceavailabilityresponse will contain detailed price information in one or more <pricingdetails> elements for each service according to the priced attribute. <pricingdetails> contains elements for several different charges:

<mlc>Monthly loop charge
<nlc>Non-recurring loop charge
<mpc>Monthly port charge
<mrc>Monthly recurring charge
<ic>Installation charge

You will find these elements defined in pricingdetails.mod.

If priced = "yes"

If priced = "co_flat"

A pricing element will have a value of 0.00 if there is no charge for that component. For example:

                <pricingdetails contractid="3">
                  <mlc>
                    <amount>255.00</amount>
                    <rmtchg>40.00</rmtchg>
                  </mlc>
                  <nlc>
                    <amount>0.00</amount>
                  </nlc>
                  <mpc>
                    <amount>0.00</amount>
                  </mpc>
                  <ic>
                    <amount>0.00</amount>
                  </ic>
                </pricingdetails>
A pricing element will be empty if that price is undefined. This should be a temporary condition; if pricing data is still missing after 24 hours, please contact your Global Capacity Sales Team. Note that you can still place an order for a service even if its pricing is missing from our service availability response.

The <amount> tells you the actual charge and any of the four elements related to charges (<mlc>, <nlc>, <mpc>, or <ic>) may also contain a <discount> element telling you how much will be deducted from the value in <amount> and possibly a <rmtchg> element specifying an additional remote charge, if applicable.

If you currently use the attribute type="orderable" in your <serviceavailabilityrequest> and you now add the priced attribute we will return information in <pricedservice> elements:

If you omit the priced attribute but still specify type="orderable" then we will continue to return services in <service> elements and will not include pricing information.

Note that if you are authorized for Loop and Transport services but not for CO based pricing, you will only receive pricing data if the Central Office provides Transport services. Loop pricing will generally not be visible to you in COs where Global Capacity maintains our own equipment, the exception being in COs where we ordinarily would not offer T1 services and in that case we will provide prices according to the neighboring CO from which we can provision service.

Prices are valid until the end of the month. The discount, if any, is valid until the end of the day.
